KB006 - Error parsing XML

    • Symptoms

    An "error parsing XML" error occurs when attempting to register Living Cookbook on a computer that is connected to the Internet.

    Cause

    This error occurs when Living Cookbook's connection to our license server times out or there are too many people trying to register at the same time (a very rare occurrence).

    Steps To Reproduce

    1. Run Living Cookbook 2024 or Living Cookbook 2024.
    2. Begin the registration process.
    3. When asked if your computer is connected to the Internet, choose "Yes".
    4. Complete the registration process and click Finish.

    Workaround

    Clicking the Finish button a second time normally resolves the problem and allows the registration process to complete. If this does not work, contact Radium Technologies support for help with this issue. If necessary, we can register your software for you.

    Resolution

    This issue does not affect Living Cookbook 2024. There is no permanent fix for earlier versions of Living Cookbook.
