KB003 - Living Cookbook 2005 Reverts to Trial Mode When Installed on Windows Vista or Windows 7

Symptoms

After successfully registering Living Cookbook 2005 on a Windows Vista PC Living Cookbook reverts to trial mode the next time the application is run.

Cause

Living Cookbook 2005 was released before Windows Vista. One of the third-party components licensed by Radium Technologies and included in early versions Living Cookbook 2005 was not 100% Vista compatible.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Install Living Cookbook 2005 v1.5.25 or earlier on a computer running Windows Vista. 
2. Run and register Living Cookbook.
3. Close Living Cookbook. 
4. Run Living Cookbook again. 

Resolution

There are two ways to resolve this issue:
