KB010 - The INSERT INTO statement contains the following unknown field name: 'originalfilename'

Symptoms

The following error occurs while working with image data after upgrading from an older version of Living Cookbook 2008: "The INSERT INTO statement contains the following unknown field name: 'originalfilename'."

Cause

A recent minor upgrade involved a database schema change that added an "originalfilename" column to one of the image database tables. A problem during the upgrade process prevented the database schema from being updated on some computers.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Install a version of Living Cookbook prior to v2.0.55.
  2. Upgrade to a version after v2.0.55.
  3. Run Living Cookbook 2008.
  4. Add an image to a recipe, ingredient, menu or technique.

Resolution

If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7, please try the following:

  1. Run Living Cookbook 2008.
  2. On the File menu, select Backup to create a new backup file.
  3. Uninstall Living Cookbook 2008.
  4. Run Windows Explorer (it doesn't matter which folder is selected).
  5. Click the Organize button at the top left (on the toolbar).
  6. Click Folder and Search Options.
  7. Click the View tab.
  8. Under "Hidden files and folders" click "Show hidden files and folders".
  9. Click OK.
  10. Delete the C:\Program Data\Radium Technologies\Living Cookbook\2.0\Database folder.
  11. Download and install the latest version of Living Cookbook 2008.
  12. Run Living Cookbook 2008.
  13. On the File menu, select Restore to restore your backup file.

If you are running Windows XP or an earlier version of Windows, please try the following:

  1. Run Living Cookbook 2008.
  2. On the File menu, select Backup to create a new backup file.
  3. Uninstall Living Cookbook 2008.
  4. Run Windows Explorer on your old computer (it doesn't matter which folder is selected).
  5. On the Tools menu, select Folder Options.
  6. Click the View tab.
  7. Under "Hidden files and folders" click "Show hidden files and folders".
  8. Click OK.
  9. Delete the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Radium Technologies\Living Cookbook\2.0\Database folder.
  10. Download and install the latest version of Living Cookbook 2008.
  11. Run Living Cookbook 2008.
  12. On the File menu, select Restore to restore your backup file.

Status

This issue does not occur in Living Cookbook 2011.
