KB0010 - Invalid Page Fault Error on Windows 98 PC

Symptoms
 

When you attempt to run Living Cookbook, the following error occurs on some Windows 98 PCs (one case reported to date):

 
 

This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.

  LC caused an invalid page fault in module PBVM70.DLL.
Cause
 

We have not been able to reproduce this error, but it is suspected that the problem is caused by a damaged operating system component required by Living Cookbook (given that Living Cookbook was running successfully on the machine in question prior to the problem).

Resolution
 
1. Reinstall Windows 98 to repair any missing or damaged operating system components. Run Setup on your Windows 98 CD. Note: This process will only repair your operating system. It will not erase your hard disk or remove any of your personal files.

2.

Click Continue to begin reinstalling Windows 98.

Run Living Cookbook.
