KB0006 - Error upgrading from v1.2 to v1.3

The information in this articles applies to:

Living Cookbook v1.2
Living Cookbook v1.3
Symptoms

When you attempt to upgrade from v1.2 to v1.3, the installer stops before installation has finished. This installer displays the following message:

The wizard was interrupted before Living Cookbook could be completely installed.

Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again.

Cause

There is a problem with our installer that causes it to abort during upgrades in some cases. The vendor of our installer components (InstallShield) is aware of this problem.

Resolution

1. Install Living Cookbook again. Since version 1.2 was uninstalled during the last install attempt, the new install will proceed without any problems.
2. Your recipes and images were moved to a temporary directory during the first install attempt. The temporary directory is C:\LivingCookbookTemp. Your data is safe. Your Living Cookbook files will be moved back to the Living Cookbook program directory when the installation finishes.

3.

Do not delete the temporary directory.

Do not uninstall Living Cookbook.

Do not reinstall version 1.2.

Any of the above might result in the loss of your recipes.

Status
We are waiting for InstallShield to repair the installation components.
